Owner Gary Prato, who grew up in Armonk, NY, was taught from a young age how important it was to be hard working. When he turned 18 he began working in the field of installing fences. He attended college in Westchester, NY during which he spent the summers working as a laborer for a local fence contractor. Gary enjoyed the fencing trade, especially the custom work, so much that after three years of college he decided to move on and start his own business.
Garon Fence Company was established in 1979 from simple beginnings. It started as just a small business, located behind a gas station, with one blue pick-up truck, as Gary slowly began making himself more and more known through his dedicated, reliable, and efficient work. He was always paying special attention to each individual customer needs, ideas, and offered his creative ideas making each job unique.
